Membership Requirements

Students are nominated and approved for Alpha Pi Mu membership based upon scholastic achievement, leadership potential, ethicality, sociability and widespread interests. The minimum scholastic achievements are as follows:

M.S. and Ph.D. Students

• Minimum Plan of Study GPA of 3.40.

• Minimum GPA of 3.40 in all Plan of Study eligible courses.

• At least 12 hours completed toward a graduate degree in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management

Seniors

• Minimum Plan of Study GPA of 3.00

• In upper one-third of the senior IEM class (anticipated graduation within one calendar year)

Juniors

• Minimum Plan of Study GPA of 3.30

• In upper one-fifth of the junior IEM class (anticipated graduation within two calendar years)

Candidates are invited to membership at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.
