Welcome to the Earth Week 2005 web site. Here you will find OSU's Earth Week Activities. Earth Week is OSU's premiere environmental awareness event. This year, we will have an Earth Fest, as usual. If you have questions, comments, or praise about Earth Week, email us.
At 7:00 pm in room 313 of the Classroom Building, someone will show the movie Weapons of Mass Deception, an award-winning documentary film about the media's coverage of the Iraq war.
Free lunch at noon, rganized by the Society of Environmental Scientists and sponsored by someone, Main Library Browsing room on second floor. Michael Patton will speak about recycling
At 7:00 pm in room 108 of the Noble Research Center, we will show the movie The End of Suburbia. This one is about the end of cheap oil. This movie not only points out the problem, but offers solutions, and suggestions for things to be done now to ease the coming crisis.
The Edmon Low Library Lawn is the place to be each Earth Day. Come out for the sun, the frisbee, the music, to hear the president, the free food, to visit the tables, or just for fun. This year's Earth Fest includes a pet picture contest!

This one is at 1:00 pm in Willard 010, and will be followed by a book-signing. If you don't own any David Orr books, you can show up early and buy them before the presentation.
This one is at 7:00 at the Meditations Banquet Facility. Apparently it costs $20 and you had to RSVP already, so if you're not winning an award, don't worry about it.
