The Institute of Industrial Engineers is a professional society dedicated to serving the professional needs of industrial engineers.

Student officers lead the OSU IIE chapter, advised by an IE&M faculty member. Our objective is to get students involved in IIE activities so they can meet other students, the faculty, and learn more about the Industrial Engineering profession.

Austin Buchanan placed first in the Student Paper Competition at the 2012 IIE South
Central Regional Conference, Mar 2-3, 2012, hosted
by the University of
Missouri, Columbia. Austin presented the paper coauthored with
Adrian Smith based on their senior design project,
titled "An Investigation into Instructor Staffing at
Oklahoma State University Fire Service Training. He
will go on to compete in the international
competition at the IIE annual meeting in Orlando,
FL, May 19-23, 2012. [Photo] |

Industrial Evolution
with over 100 student participants from the region
and featured multiple speakers from insdustry. [More

award for the South Central region at the 2011 IIE
Annual Meeting in Reno, NV. [More

placed first in the 2010 IIE International student
paper competition for undergraduates. Ten regional
winners from 7 US regions, Mexico, Canada, Central &
